About 6 years ago, I collected my girl in Sydney and rode my sports-tourer across the country.  It was Christmas Day in the Blue Mountains, when we rode to have lunch with my mate, Gordon at Sutherland/Jannali.
Gordon suggested we take in the sights via Moss Vale.  So we eventually left around 5pm and headed for Canberra.  We skirted around the Gong, and turned right at Illawarra Hwy.  The trip thru the Park we breathtaking for a boy and girl from boring flat ole Perth.
I think it was still light when we reached Goulburn, but the last section to Canberra was not pleasant - it pissed down for the last hour or two, because I remember doing abt 160+kph just to get there.  I think we arrived about midnight.
